Diana Barrie received her BFA (1973) and MFA (1975) from the Art Institute of Chicago. She taught photography and film-making at the University of Northern Iowa (1977-79) and the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee (1979-1984). After working in the reprographics industry in New York City and Chicago (1984-1990), she came to UCSMP in 1990, where she has performed various duties, including creating technical illustrations for all grade levels of Everyday Mathematics. She has also created illustrations for Science Companion and the Center for Urban School Improvement's STEP Literacy Assessments.
