Laurie Thrasher joined CEMSE in June 2003. She came to us from the University of Chicago Press, where she was a manuscript editor with the Astrophysical and Astronomical Journals. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin—Madison and more than 10 years experience as a technical writer and editor. Prior to joining the university, Laurie worked for Compuware, Inc. as a documentation specialist, creating on-line help systems for computer software. She was a member of the 4th grade editorial team for the 3rd edition of Everyday Mathematics, and is now assisting Rachel McCall with the California and Texas state editions for grades K through 2. Laurie also shares responsibility with Regina Littleton for many administrative duties.
