Rebecca Maxcy

Rebecca W. Maxcy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine in 1995. the following year she earned a Masters in Elementary Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She taught elementary school in Maine for four years. Upon moving to Chicago, Ms. Maxcy taught for three years at The Chicago Academy, a teacher training academy within the Chicago Public Schools. Ms. Maxcy has been with the University of Chicago’s Center for Elementary Mathematics and Science Education (CEMSE) for over four years. Ms. Maxcy is a Teacher in Residence at the University of Chicago's Center for Elementary and Science Education (CEMSE). She worked as a teacher in residence on the Fourth Grade Everyday Mathematics, third edition, and on various state specific editions. She is currently updating the UCSMP Everyday Mathematics Center website.
