Kriszta Miner

Kriszta Miner joined CEMSE as Project Manager in 2008, shortly after completing a Ph.D. in English at the University of Bristol, England. At Bristol, Kriszta also completed a Program in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. Prior to her doctoral studies, Kriszta received a Master’s Degree in English as well as a BA in Education from the University of Debrecen, Hungary. In addition, Kriszta holds a Grades 6-12 Teaching Certificate and taught English for four years to students at middle school, high school, and college level. A recipient of a number of research scholarships and grants, among others a three-year grant from the British Secretary of State for Education and Science as well as the National Merit Scholar Award from the Department of Education in Hungary, Kriszta’s graduate activities included contributing as peer editor to a social sciences and humanities graduate research journal based at the University of Glasgow, Scotland.

At CEMSE, Kriszta oversees contracts for author development and publication of Everyday Mathematics. In a Project Manager capacity, Kriszta also collaborates with key partners of the Center, such as the Chicago Public Schools and the University of Chicago Urban Education Institute, to manage joint research, evaluation, and education efforts.
